September 9, 2024 (Panama City Beach, FL) – The Highland Group is proud to announce the completion and ribbon cutting of the new modular Panama City Beach Fire Rescue Training Tower located at 204 North Gulf Blvd., Panama City Beach, FL. This state-of-the-art training facility, designed to offer multiple training scenarios, will serve firefighters and first responders in Bay County and surrounding areas, providing them with essential resources to improve emergency response readiness.
Using the jaws of life rescue tool, city officials cut the ribbon on September 3rd, 2024 marking the culmination of the project. This initiative was made possible through the support of a Florida state grant and the City of Panama City Beach Government. The modular design allows for various real-world training simulations, including a burn room and movable walls that can be adjusted for different layouts. These features enhance specialized rescue operations, making the facility a critical asset for public safety in the region.
“The Highland [Group] Construction team, you guys built us a heck of a facility,” said the Fire Chief Ray Morgan during the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
