August 28, 2024 (Huntsville, AL) –The Highland Group, a leading general contractor in the Southeast, has been awarded the design-build contract of the groundbreaking SpaceFactory project. This 8,000 sq. ft., two-story design-build project will feature unit bays for tenants, two mezzanine floors, and transparent viewing panels on overhead doors, all within a state-of-the-art facility that will play a pivotal role in the growing aerospace industry in Huntsville.
The SpaceFactory facility is designed to be both functional and visually striking, with an exterior featuring a modern combination of black brick veneer, sleek metal panels, and wood-textured finishes. The building will be constructed using a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) structure for its shell, ensuring durability and flexibility. The project will also include an ancillary public feature in the form of a coffee shop, designed to enhance the space’s communal appeal.
