Craig brings over 25 years of experience in the commercial construction industry and executive oversight in various market sectors to the Highland Group.
Blackburn most recently served as the Vice President of Construction for a national commercial construction firm, managing a team of project managers and focusing primarily on expansive retail and warehouse spaces. His expertise in concrete-work, preconstruction, and overseeing various scopes, trades, schedules, and complex phasing plans has led him to work on complex projects, including retail and healthcare, with a combined value of over $750 million. Craig’s extensive expertise in delivering meticulous project coordination, scheduling, and managing millions of square feet of stick-builds and tilt-up work will greatly contribute to enhancing the established stronghold and success of Highland Group‘s projects throughout the Southeastern United States.
Blackburn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction from Auburn University and serves as a member of the Auburn University Industry Advisory Council.

Craig, in his capacity as Senior Project Manager, will assume a vital role in spearheading construction operations throughout the Alabama Gulf Coast Region. His primary responsibilities will include directing and coordinating the construction team and all subcontractors, guaranteeing the availability of tools, equipment, and materials, drafting reports, negotiating contracts, and conducting risk analysis. Craig’s unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding plant operations within established deadlines, maintaining high-quality standards, consistently implementing safety protocols, and adhering to budget plans will be instrumental in driving the success of projects in various markets across the region.
