The Highland Group is proud to announce that Highland employee, Alyssa Franks, has been selected to participate in Leadership Bay, a community leadership development program presented by the Bay County Chamber of Commerce.
Franks, who serves as Project Coordinator for Highland’s office in Panama City Beach, was selected as a member of the 2021-2022 Leadership Bay Class.
“As a young professional in Panama City Beach, I am passionate about creating positive opportunities for growth and success within our community,“ said Franks. “Leaders make others better, and I am excited to learn and grow with my peers in the Leadership Bay program.”
The nine-month leadership program is designed to help participants gain a better understanding of the local community by reviewing its history, examining entities and systems, and hearing from influential leaders across various sectors such as business, government, education, law enforcement, natural resources, arts and culture and human services. Each Leadership Bay County class is also challenged to develop leadership skills and contribute to the Bay community by selecting and completing a class project.
The Highland Group’s mission is to develop leaders to have a positive impact on the communities in which they work and live.
“Alyssa is a shining example of the leadership we encourage at the Highland Group, and we are very proud of her participation in Leadership Bay and commitment to the Bay County community,” said C. Scott Shamburger, President & CEO, The Highland Group.
